When significant accidents designated under the Ordinance of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (“significant accidents at building construction worksites” hereinafter) occur at building construction project sites, their circumstances and causes are investigated at building construction worksites in order to clarify the cause and prevent accidents. The circumstances and causes of significant accidents at building construction worksites are investigated by organizing the Construction Accident Investigation Committee as required.

Organization of the Construction Accident Investigation Committee
The Committee is organized with up to 12 members, including the chair, with approval by the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport when a significant accident occurs at a building construction site. The members are selected from a pool of roughly 200 candidates by referring to reports on the status of accidents at building construction sites.
